313 replacement

Just wondered what will replace the class 313?

They are the only trains allowed to go into Moorgate from Finsbury Park and the trains will be 40 years old this year.

I think they need replacing soon. I wonder if class 378 are clear for running in tube size tunnels idealy for Moorgate?

Potentially the class 313 could go down to the IOW if it can fit through Ryde tunnel.

Order for a 6-car Desiro City variant has been confirmed.

Class 313 is no smaller than other mainline stock so I'm not sure why you suggest IoW.
