For those unaware, Class 31 31206 currently on loan to the Spa Valley Railway is to remain with us until August 2014.

The locomotive will operate scheduled passenger services with our Green timetable on selected days between March & July before making its final appearance at the Summer Diesel Gala which is to be held from Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd August. This event will also hopefully star another visitor, Class 33 33063, Class 37 37254, Class 73 73140 (which will hopefully be in her new colour scheme), Class 10 D3489 & also Class 207 DEMU 1317.

Plans are underway following the lessons we've learnt from 2013s events, we're aiming to put on a show!

Sounds great, enjoyed last year's. Hope you don't mind me asking how the middle car of 1317 is coming on?

It's currently at Groombridge due to very limited space at Tunbridge Wells. We are however determined to get the Centre Coach back into traffic ASAP, it's in our best interest following the money already spent on it for the restoration of the Centre Car.

We are looking towards a grant for it's completion however to summarise we need to finish the interior, carry out a complete re-wire and also lift the coach off its bogies to allow the wheels to be turned. After which the brake rigging can be rebuilt.

Very interesting, thank you.
