She does look good in the sun. This scene is soon to be a thing of the past, just got word that the unique 999508 is to be taken out of service and replaced.

31's will probably stay for as long as they can get parts for them. I've no idea how old it is, it was a conversion of a conversion (some kind of Mk1 brake to general managers saloon to Inspection coach with the funny windows). I hazard a guess it's got to be late 1950's/early 1960's.

Rather sad then,be nice to see something like that preserved just for the nostalgia of it,no other testing veichles other than the IRIS are preserved?
