a 31 (named?) propelled test train just passed thorugh MKC @ 13:25 The DBS) was leading and i couldnt see which train it was.

Probably a UTU, only named ped we use is 602, "Driver Dave Green".

Do you use 601 ? a dark green one with DCR on it ??

Used to use 601, when 31's were more common across the board but the DCR locos aren't used often if at all now, but they do frequently take up residence at Derby. 602 is a yellow one, it could've been it.
