When you sat you psycometeric testing they asked you 4 essay questions, the structured interview is based on these questions, so hopfully you didnt lie!! or you have a good memory because you will be found out.

Truth is even if you pass this stage you could be placed on a waiting list for years before you get an offer of employment. As another poster beverridges pointed out passing all the tests and interviews make you a suitable candidate but there could be many suitable candidates also passing

Thanks for the reply was kind of thinking it would be those questions i can remeber that i didnt have enough time to start the final question so hopefully they give me a chance to answer that one.v not lied at any stage of the process.
wouldnt bother me being on a waiting list as im still working in my trade at the moment.
Biggest problem will probably be the nerves lol.

Havent the questions have been posted on this forum many times before for the structured interview???

1) coping in an emergency
2) solving a difficult problem
3) completing a training course lasting longer than 2 weeks (easy)
4) following rules and procedures
5) working alone for long periods

Loads of probing questions based on the above

The interview with the driver manager is a completely different set of questions they could ask anything!

Which TOC is this for?

They seem to be pretty standard questions across all of them as the core assessments are an industry standard (one or two TOC's have additional assessments such as verbal reporting, etc), but the structured interview questions appear to be the same.

You would write summary answers to the questions on paper and then they are scrutinised during the interview. As a supplimentary to the one about following rules and procedures for example you might get asked about a time that you have been placed under pressure to break a rule or procedure and what you did, etc.

hi guys my medical is at the bupa centre in glasgow iv had a conditional contract email from first/scotrail.

The whole assessment process was different than anyone has described....

1st.application form

2nd.1st assessment stage which consisted of mech comprehension.group bourden and training for rules and procedures tests.I had to write down answers to 4 structured interview questions but WAS NOT questioned on these answers.

3rd.Interview at applied for station with station manager and scottish driver manager(i was told this week that considering that the scottish driver manager was sitting questioning me at my interview i had done extremely well and alot of applicants had failed this stage).

4th.2nd assessment which was reactions test then i had to answer the questions i had written down at 1st assessment so this is prob to test your ability to recall important info.

5th.medical (on fri)
