I have not been terribly impressed by this I must say. There was only indication on Twitter when the site would be live, the site only works on mobiles, and that was through my 4G connection, it did not work through Wi-fi. Uploading a photo was not exactly smooth sailing, it failed on many occasions, and it only accepts photos under 4mb in size. The lowest size photo my phone can take is 6mb, so I had to manually find an older photo of myself that I could use and save it to my Google drive. Thankfully I have succeeded now, but more difficult than it should have been!

Is it not just a cookie cutter site based on the same template as the other railcard sites? Certainly looks like it, and I'd be very surprised if they reinvented anything for this.
You can normally lower the size of a photograph by taking a screenshot of it, as the screenshot has a lower resolution.

In case it has been missed by being buried in the East Coast franchise story it appears this railcard had a very short life.
Launched with a great fanfare, website crashed, limited number of people actually secured one, then it all went quiet.
Then Treasury asked who was paying the bill. No one knew and no one wanted to so it appears no more Railcard for those who could really benefit from one.

The Two Together Railcard was also trialled, then things went quiet for quite some time, then it was eventually launched as a product available to all. The 26-30 Railcard may have a similar start.

I suspect if it launches it won't be as a separate Card but as the 16-25 becoming a 16-30.

That would diminish the attraction for students, who are the core target for the 16-25.

I'm not sure it really would if for no reason than that the progressive increase in long distance fares means that it's much less common to actually hit the minimum fare on the kind of "summer holiday" type journeys that are involved than it used to be.
There's also that it doesn't apply at all to Advances at any time of year, and that will likely be the ticket of choice for most on a budget, which is quite different to the situation maybe 20 years ago.
There will be the odd people who are using it to commute in July and August to summer jobs, but that will be *relatively* niche and there are still season tickets - and over any kind of distance you still will exceed the minimum fare anyway.
