Looks like this goes via Castle Donnington and involves a reversal - is this a relatively rare move? I certainly haven't come across diversions via this route before.

Could be considered rare, one of those lines that when it does run it runs a few times the same day. 1D91 2315 Stp-Dby via Nottingham does it that day too.

Happens on a Sunday morning on a fairly frequent basis involving the first few up trains.

Castle Donington has been a fairly standard diversion for a good while, but mostly early mornings from Derby or late nights, so if you don't travel often at this time of the night, it can be considered as a rare move.
