Have seen a 222 running as a 4 car in Sheffield station on the London slows a couple of times this week - does anyone know what happened to the fifth car? Was this the one which experienced the fire? Apologies if i've missed something obvious.
222130 apparently but don't quote me on that. As to what happened to the other car I'm afraid I don't have the local knowledge for that-I only knew it was short from here lol!
The original post must be 222s as it refers to the Sheffield slows, in which case a 4-car 222 is quite normal. EMT have 4 ex-Hull Trains units (222101-222104) which are, and always have been 4 car units.
I agree with what sd0733 said above.
This a little bit of a confusing thread since 221134 has always been a 5-coach unit and Class 222s aren't numbered as high as '34'.
Thanks,
Ross
