Will they have to have their tilts disabled before potentially going to XC?
There is no agreement for them to go to XC.
XC don't operate tilt. It is likely tilt would be disabled if they did go there.

Out of curiosity, is the tilt equipment completely removed on the XC sets, or do they just isolate it for every journey?
If I remember correctly, Crosscountry actually removed a lot of the tilting components and welded the tilting bars shut.

I understood that 221143 (which received an MS from XC to replace its second MSRMB a few years ago) had its tilt disables at the time of the coach swap.
For those who can' remember, the reason for it having 2 MSRMB dated from when two 5 car sets were made from 221142-144 (a process which XC subsequently reversed, using the stored driving cars from 221144

Serious wheelset issues apparently. Restricted to 35mph on the drag and sounded like it had square wheels by all accounts. Be interesting to see what happens to it
It was going though a building close to the main line at central rivers yesterday. Assume this was the wheel lathe.
