21:50 Northern Rail Newcastle - Middlesbrough

Does anyone know what the reliability of this train is (Delays/Cancellations?) As i've got a pretty tight connection at Thornaby if all goes well to change to the bus...

Bus leaves Thornaby Station 22:59, and AFAIK the train arrives at 22:48.

Any advice, quick advice, would be good

There isn't a 21:50 AFAIK anymore!

Last Northern one down the mainline is now 22:21 terminates at Darlo then runs ECS to York.

Last one down the coast is now later at 21:18.

You'll need to use the TPE at 21:55 to change into Northern at Darlington for 22:38 due Thornaby 22:57.

Historically 21:50 was a bad train- lots of drunks and trouble. Passcoms being pulled, doors being opened, even had mass brawls. Also used to often get set swapped off an incoming service.

TPE set will have sat at Newcastle for a while so you should make it to Darlington ok. Only hold up on last leg to Thornaby would be stragglers running down to the bays?

Ah no problem! Same applies- boisterous train hopefully no mass brawl at Chester-le-Street this Saturday.
