It's the Open Golf in a couple of weeks at Birkdale, Southport.

Does anyone know where the coach park will be? The website says its 700m from the main entrance, which limits the options!

And are the park and rides to the car parks operating from residential roads as they did last time?

Southport is bristling with AA signs pointing to all parking zones, and to P+R locations. I have seen at least one for coaches.

There is definitely a P+R in Gorsuch Lane Scarisbrick, with the route to venue via New Cut Lane. In Ainsdale, south of the venue, there are signs for P+R pointing towards Formby. In Lord Street, there are P+R signs, but I don’t know the location. It may be the Esplanade P+R location, which is no longer used for local Southport P+R.
Merseyrail will be running a 6tph service on the Northern Line, including alternate trains express between Liverpool Central and Hall Road.
