Even I doubt that Trump would refuse to leave the Whitehouse if he loses, although he might only go ‘under protest’ after making a series of rabble-rousing speeches (or tweets); probably mixed in with playground-style ‘I’ll get you’ style threats. I am more worried about what havoc he might wreak between being declared the loser and January 20.
Also been reading today if he was to become arsey and throws a hissy fit and wants to nuke South Africa or whatever he can be countermanded by Generals.

I understand that a specific unit in the US armed forces has a permanent responsibility to forcibly remove an outgoing president who "digs themselves in". Not withstanding the comments about Secret Service loyalty it's not completely beyond the realms of possibility that Trump would arrange for suitably hot-headed militia to enter the White House and "defend democracy". I also gather that said military unit has recently dusted down its contingency plans. I seriously doubt that it'll come to that: the military have access to helicopter gunships and armoured vehicles, militias do not.

I'd be more concerned about what he gets up to between now and the inauguration of the incoming President,he could go fully off the rails,a lot worse than he has been up to now.

This is all very worrying - the narrative is being set by Trump: The election has been stolen from him and if you count the legal votes I win. The atmosphere is febrile and the Trump regime are stoking it up. One of his sons has called for "total war" against the "electoral fraud". We are in very dangerous waters.

For me the worry is the numerous false claims of irregularities being posted on Twitter and Facebook. All have been thoroughly debunked but the MAGA army won't ever see them debunked... or if they do, will refuse to accept it.

I was rather annoyed when Trump had a pop at the election staff during his speech. BBC have just done a live report from Nevada, and they're saying that it's very tense there. I would imagine the people doing the count will be quite worried.

I really hope it isn’t the case, but it’s a good to hear that Biden is closing in on Georgia.
I do find it funny that Trump isn’t disputing the states he won. Nor is Biden disputing the states he lost.
When you hear some of the stuff going on there as I have from family, it's utterly barmy. Bullet proof vests selling out, Republican Trump obsessives arming themselves. It's not going to end well.

In short, everything we've come to expect from the Cheeto-dusted buffoon-in-Chief. But putting aside the dumpster fire that was that press conference (and the potential response from hardline Republican Trump obsessives when Biden is declared the winner, as unnerving as that can of worms is) for a moment, his body language as he walked out of the room was very revealing. For all the undermining of the democratic principles the US is founded upon, the blatant delegitimizing of the electoral process and the flagrant fomenting of violence, the way he held onto that pole as he left just reeked of exhaustion and defeat. Deep down, he knows he's on the ropes and the endgame is edging ever nearer. Not that he'd ever have the moral backbone to concede to anything, let alone defeat. As others have said upthread, I only hope his 'Lame Duck' temper tantrums can be countermanded sufficently and for long enough.
Edit: I realize my words are forceful and right to the point. This is because this man, his family and the people in government that profess their loyalty to him are and always have been malignant shadows on the horizons of democracy, progress, truth and decency. They need to be robustly called out as such and decisively taken to task every time they dare open their mouths and/or act to undermine the truth for their own selfish gain (thankfully, that has been happening). To paraphrase the old saying: give 'em an inch and watch 'em run away with a mile. Well, it's about time we completely cease in giving them the luxury of that inch.
That, and I'm. So. Tired. of listening to that sentient bag of sawdust speak. Every word honestly feels like I'm having 5 red-hot cattle prods jammed in each ear.
