He's run a brilliant campaign and has certainly energised large numbers of younger people who might otherwise have steered well clear of the whole business. But he hasn't won on total vote numbers or number of states. He seems now to be turning into rather a bad loser -- almost blaming the electorate for making the wrong choice.If he had the popular vote and Clinton was winning on super delegates or even FPTP technicalities, I'd have sympathy.
But it's clear that the country is not ready for Sanders' type of politics. Clinton could do worse than having him as VP though.
(I'm also intrigued that someone who has been a member of the Democrat party for such a short time should apparently so easily get so far towards being the Democrat candidate.)
