2015 Fare increase: implementation date?

When does the 2015 fare increase kick-in?
I am trying to make a claim for travel expenses, based on a Season Ticket that I will need to buy, with a start date of mid-January 2015.
Looking on the Southern ticket engine, it will not allow me to put in a start date beyond 18th December, when searching for Season Ticket rates for the journey I will be making!

The Fares Change Date is 2nd January 2015. Tickets for travel on or after that date are sold at current fares until four weeks prior, which I reckon to be tomorrow. After that, they're sold at the new price.

Try a ticket office. They might be more flexible on start dates.

I need to buy an annual season ticket starting at the beginning of Jan. When is the last date I can buy it at the old price?

The last date it can start from at this year's prices is the 1st January. It can be purchased any between now and the end of the 1st January - though I wouldn't rate your chances much if you wanted to buy at a ticket office on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
