Can anyone recall any specific occasions where 2 x 5 car units coupled together have operated on the North Cotswolds line? Some people have said it’s been done before in rare circumstances but I’ve never seen it myself

Cu0ld it be because there are stations on that route with platforms too short for more than five cars? (see parallel discussion on the same issue on the Cornish main line, where trains rostered for 2X5 don't call at, eg, Hayle). Can anyone recall any specific occasions where 2 x 5 car units coupled together have operated on the North Cotswolds line? No walking routes between the units would be correct for Malvern and Shrubb Hill shuntes / turnbacks. WMids often require two drivers for double non gangwayed sets at Shrub Hill.I’ve always been told they can’t do the North Cots because of issues with signal overlaps, I was allocated a 10 car a few months ago and as such I queried it with the TSM and he said yeah you can’t take a 10 car but didn’t give me a reason as to why, the set got swapped, the operational restrictions map we have shows the only thing it shows is no walking route at Great Malvern and Shrub Hill so requires 2 drivers to do the shunt

I suppose in theory though, they could run a 10 car as far as Shrub Hill?Cu0ld it be because there are stations on that route with platforms too short for more than five cars? There were (are?) authorised walking routes at Shrub Hill (Wylds Lane) and Malvern Wells (single line) to change ends without set being double manned - in HST days .No walking routes between the units would be correct for Malvern and Shrubb Hill shuntes / turnbacks.
