Hi All

My desk overlooks lincoln station and so i've started to notice trains for the first time!!

Anyway the couple of days we've seen 2 class 37's go through, one yellow and one blue with 2 yellow carriages inbetween.

Obviously its a bit different from the endless EWS 66's we see and has jolted our interest a bit.

Can any shed any light on this train/trains and what it might be up to?

thanks

Sounds like one of the Network Rail track inspection /test trains.

Location
S Yorks, usually
I photographed one matching that description through Rotherham this morning about 0930, not a million miles from Lincoln.
Just looked on realtimetrains.co.uk - the 0850 Doncaster West Yard to Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) (via Stocksbridge, Lincoln (1318), Peterborough)
As the previous poster said, inspection/test train.
