The unit appears to have then gone to Harrogate via Leeds https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:46546/2021-07-25/detailed#allox_id=0 to form 1A45 1705 Harrogate to London Kings Cross https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C85311/2021-07-25/detailed#allox_id=0 due to lack of an available unit at Doncaster Carr to run the Harrogate service.

I doubt the same driver would have known the route to Harrogate and to have done what you suggest would have put him/her hours and hours over permitted hours and gone without their break

If it was a Leeds driver that worked it from Newcastke, yes then, all depending on if they were a 'spare' driver with no allocated work, it is possible they could work to Harrogate
