Hi,

I plan to travel on 1st October to something I can't really change. Journey is Derby to London, return following day.

I'm confused by the rumours. ASLEF are out but articles don't list EMR. RMT is rumoured but not in the news. Tickets can still be purchased for the day including advances.

I'm not interested in getting into a debate about whether the strike is right or wrong. I just want to know what the industry currently thinks is happening on 1st October as I trust the users of this board to be up to date and probably correct.

Thanks!

EMR ASLEF ballot isn't back yet so they won't be out on the 1st. I think it's due on the 20th so the 5th is however possible.

RMT are definitely on strike at EMR and NR on the 1st so I'd expect the same level of service as in previous strikes.

Brill, thanks for letting me know.

I think EMR ran 1 tph last time, so will see if it looks similar this time. Are either union linked to TFL in any way? Just thinking about the tube.

Thanks again!

TfL Tube strikes have so far been on differing days from those on the National Rail Network. But I guess we'll have to see. Nothing stopping them from a coordinated strike...
