1st Generation DMUs back on the Great Northern!

After reading some of the questions and answers of the latest Meet the Director web chats that FCC do every 3 months, I came across this little gem which made me chuckle...

One of the passengers asked if FCC would bring back 1st Generation DMUs specifically Cravens to boost the capacity of FCC services on the Great Northern!

This of course is not possible which is what FCC said despite the bonus of having a diesel fleet when the uber cheap overheads come down.

Thought it might bring a smile to some of you, :)

It wasn't Peter Skuce was it by any chance? He previously asked if SWT could use a different Moquette in the CIGs!

I don't think it was him, though he was complaining about the 377s being to Southern Spec and not Connex

No supprises there...

Like the idea of DMU's going back down the Great Northern... one problem of course...The fire alams might not like it:lol:
