1st Class Paddington to Lamphey

Hi there

This might sound like a dumb question but,

When in the UK I quite often travel to Lamphey from Paddington.
I assume the 1st class fares are calculated : 1st Paddinton-Swansea and STD Swansea-Lamphey as there is no 1st class on trains beyond Swansea.

However during summer there are through FGW HST's from Paddington to Pembroke Dock, are higher 1st class fares charged during summer for through travel to stations on the Pembroke Dock line?

There is a return ticket from London Paddington - Lamphey, available all year round for £349.00.

If you leave London after 0810 Monday to Friday, the return reduces to £219.00. This ticket is available at any time on Saturday or Sunday.

Fares do not usually increase for summer.

The way the fare is calculated is very complex and is based on a number of factors.

1st Class Anytime Return Paddington-Sawnsea £329, Off Peak £199

Swansea to Lamphey Off Peak Return £16- no time restrictions.

So, when there's no through service, you're rather being taken for £4- not a sume you'd exactly notice if you can afford those 1st class returns, but it is cheeky nonetheless.
