Just realised in my rush to get a connection I didn't get the number of the 1S49 which was the 1125 of of Plymouth! Is anyone able to help for those with access to the info?

Take your pick between 220 033 and 220 002 (can't tell if it was a pair throughout or if they coupled at some stage on the journey)

They attach together at Bristol. Whatever stock works 1V51 1007 Manchester to Bristol stays on Platform 3 at Temple Meads and then the other unit starting back from Plymouth on the original 1S49 attaches to the rear of the former. So in the OP's case, it would be what worked the journey from Plymouth as he only went to Exeter.

If you're ever on an XC voyager but didn't get the number on boarding, then go to the wifi log on screen (if you have a smartphone), and it's one there as 'TRAIN: 221126' or whatever. With the HSTs, it's the set number, ie. 'TRAIN: XC05'

It was single unit when I was on it. Didn't know the thing about the wifi. It's not ultra critical I know the unit number as I have luckily cleared them but an unplanned visit to Exeter with friends and the rush to the connection for the ride up the hill to central meant i forgot to check for the number. All i knew was it was a 220. Thanks for the help so far though.

I sometimes do this! Sometimes my friend and I don't look at the unit number and we guess what we're on and then we check the page to see who was closest :P sad I know!

Yeah it'll be a single unit until Bristol where the ex-Manchester portion attaches. I forgot about the Wi-Fi page which is a good way to tell! 1S49 is normally booked for a pair of 220s (although week before last it was 221119 and 220025).
