South of Preston the driver of the above had to isolate two traction motors on the loco 90021. It arrived in Preston at 0407 (Bkd 0338). 57311 on 0P01 0359 Longsight to Preston was used to take the train with 90021 (Dead in Train) forward to Carlisle. It departed Preston at 0547 (120 minutes late) and arrived in Carlisle at 0722 (132 late). The two locos were then removed and put in 'C' Road and split. 90018 had travelled light engine from Mossend to take both the Edinburgh and Glasgow portions to Glasgow Central. 90018 was due to work the Edinburgh portion from Carstairs but with losing 90021 something had change. Departure from Carlisle was at 0801 (166 minutes late) and arriving into Glasgow Central at 0928 (128 minutes late).

I saw 90021 yesterday morning in the middle line between platform 3 and 4 it was still there on my way back at 19:45pm
