Hi Folks.

Does anyone have any info on any planned amendments to this service today, please?

My neighbour is booked on it from Stafford to Bournemouth, but has received an email from her ticket provider, to say the train is cancelled from Leamington Spa.

I've looked on Real Time Trains: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C23570/2025-07-31/detailed#allox_id=0 and although the page is titled:

1O18 1225 Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth
Departing today

... the stock is shown as Manchester Piccadilly to Birmingham New Street [only].

I can see no reference to an issue at Leamiington Spa, as in her email notification though.

Any info / advise gratefully received. Thanks.

So, how should the OP's neighbour make their way from Stafford to Bournemouth? Looks like there's multiple other XC cancellations to Bournemouth today?!

It's terminating at Birmingham New Street today due to a shortage of train drivers. RTT has a data source limitation that means it can't show some en-route cancellations until the service reaches the station it's cancelled at.

Two services before and two services after. Acceptance also in place with GWR and SWR between Banbury and Bournemouth; sadly nothing with Chiltern to plug the Birmingham - Banbury gap.

@TheSel. What time did your neighbour actually arrive into Bournemouth? Ought originally to have been around 1721 if travelling on yesterday's partially cancelled 1321 Cross Country service from Stafford. Might not some 'Delay Repay' now be due?

Sorry - I don't know. I've not heard from her, and don't want to disturb her due to the nature of her visit. I'm sure I'll find out once she's back (next Tuesday), and asks for help with a Delay Repay claim!

Understood. Think the threshold for XC is a 30+ minutes delay.
