This seemed to be the cause of diversions on Friday after the prior issue further south with the line side fire.

Any word on what it is? Seemed to get going again under its own steam reasonably quickly?

1F30 16:43 Euston to Liverpool was delayed behind 9S93 16:40 Euston to Edinburgh, which struck an initially unknown object between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby, which turned out to be a pheasant.

Other later trains diverted via Northampton.
