Anyone know what’s happened to the 16:15 Leeds to Kings Cross?
Realtime trains suggests cancelled due to vandalism.
National rail says ECML delays due to broken down train.
VTEC website says nothing!

Realtime trains suggests cancelled due to vandalism.

While not related to 1A40, interestingly the VTEC website mentions that the 1530 Kings Cross-Glasgow Central service (1S23) is being delayed between Doncaster and York due to vandalism on the train. As 1A40 would have travelled through Doncaster before 1S23, I imagine it wasn't cancelled as a result of this (especially as beavercreek gave the actual reason above).

VTEC on twitter said vandalism has caused a brake failure. No more detail forthcoming, but it does not seem like an excuse they would make up.
