I think it’s my first time seeing one and I regularly use the Bakerloo line.
Train 3299
So train 3299 is coupled with other 3 cars units as usual. But the main difference is that the four car unit doesn't have two cabs like other 72 4 cab trains. There is only one. The four-car unit is made up from cars salvaged from collisions.
Unit 3539-4539-3439 was withdrawn as a result of a buffer stops collision in Harrow & Wealdstone siding, while unit 3257-4257-4357-3357 was withdrawn as a result of a derailment at Piccadilly Circus.
Cars 3357 4357 and 4257 were mated with 3439 and reconfigured to form unit 3299, with an UNDM instead of a DM at one end.
Meanwhile cars 3257, 3539 and 4539 were scrapped as a result of the damage they sustained.

Does it handle differently, does anyone know?
How does that work? So there is no cab but it still has basic controls? Where do they put the controls when there is no cab and the passenger doors are where the cab would be? I would be curious if anyone has a photo?Think 3399 has basic controls for shunting in depot.

Took a snap of the shunting cabinet on the 73 Stock for comparison.Same equipment fitted to:
C Stock (only upon refurbishment)
D Stock (without DBVIC)
1973 Stock (similar)

Correct, as happened with unrefurbished 1973 and D Stock. When driven from the 72 stock shunting cab, how does the driver look ahead? Their body will be in front of the shunting panel, while their head would be leaning over the window on the centre door?
