I travelled on the 12.11 TPE service from Sheffield to Doncaster yesterday (Sat).
Just before leaving Sheffield the engine of the middle car of the 185 stopped and remained shut down to Doncaster.

Would this have been a fault or would it have been running in economy mode?
Apart from seeming a little slow up Nunnery, it didn't appear to have any detrimental effect after that.
