erm, that shot was taken when it was snowing, ie February. It is also likely photoshopped.

Errrmmm.... snow today? And why would they brand them as 'Adelante' as part of the livery?

You know what, I hadn't even noticed the snow! Andrew Chambers on WNXX confirmed that he saw it yesterday outside Wolverton, so I had taken it to be real.

And in answer, that particular branding has been all over fHT. The website, the posters inside the unrefurbed units and the onboard magazine has them all branded like that.

It is 100% real, I can confirm that. I have seen a decent quality picture which proves it (although can't post it for obvious reasons). Looks rather nice IMO!

They have branded them 'Adelante' in the same way that the 222s were branded 'Pioneer'.

Call me a cynic, but there appears to be a part of one of the neon lines right over the window of the driver's door. Either someone's been careless with the vinyls, or I smell photoshop- whether that's the livery photoshopped in or the snow!!

What about First liveried 156s with vinyls over what was the luggage rack windows? I think it's the design - the only people who use that door are crew anyway.

The drivers door is for staff use only, so it's likely to be real. The current FirstGroup livery has vinyl going over the door and on the similarly liveried 156s and 323s, there's vinyl over the windows too. Nothing new!

The FGW livery also had the crew doors windows obscured by vinyl.
As much as I dont like Firsts gawdy lvieries, it really does suit the body shape of a 180 it looks outstanding so much better than the old Barbie livery.

wow, that does look amazing... best 180 ive seen! (going by livery)
Can you imagine if all the trains on our network looked that good!

can't wait to see a GC one...

I dont think the GC one is going to be anything to look forward too personally. The GC livery is abit unimaginative if you ask me.

I don't think the first one is fake. All the lines are too similar. I just don't think the Adelante branding is on both sides or they removed it.

Rather flash, that! I do like it - makes them look a whole new (and better) train...I like the dynamic lines livery anyway but on these it looks even better.

Looking foward to seeing the interior! The outsides great. I hope they dont get the standard class FGW HST seats, they are not that bad but still quite hard, but leather 1st class seats would be good! 8-)

I can't see the interior changing much, however a general clean up inside, new seat covers are likely and I imagine first class has been rejigged to include a kitchen and more space. Also wifi and powerpoints.

The magazine a couple of months ago said FC moved to one end, powerpoints throughout train, wifi, kitchen, electronic displays inc seats and revamp of cafe bar - don't know if it's being moved though.
