Hey up my friends,where is it best to spot and photo these London midland units,thanks

Lots of them on the Snow Hill lines, but of course Birmingham Snow Hill (and Moor Street) are poor for photography due to being busy and lacking daylight. Smethwick Galton Bridge is a nice location, with the benefit of being able to look at various Virgin, XC, LM and ATW services 'downstairs' while you wait. Or there's Dorridge and Leamington Spa, where they terminate.

At Jewellery Quarter and The Hawthorns, you can photograph the Midland Metro trams as well. At Stourbridge Junction, you can have a ride on the Cl. 139 Parry People Mover!

Droitwich spa isn't too bad for photos, the 172's do herefords

Or there's Dorridge and Leamington Spa, where they terminate.

Very few LM services go to Leamington.

However five or six 172s stable there overnight (and that's pretty much the only reason LM serve it at all), and there will usually be a few there all day during the weekend.

If you want a non-station location for photography, you'll get some good views from the Small Heath Bridge in Birmingham.
