172 Ilford Tyre turning ?

I remember for the past few years having 172's run down to Ilford for tyre turning however I haven't seen any of these moves this year. The last time I saw one was in summer 2024

Any ideas if the 172's are still tyre turned there?

I don’t believe so as Tyseley has its own wheel lathe so WMR can do their own units now.

The class 172/1's went down for C4 Bogie overhauls as they are owned by Angel Trains and Ilford have the contract.
172/0's had C4's at Ilford as although they are Porterbrook units they were freshish from London Overground.

All 172/2 & /3 are Porterbrook and all maintenance including heavy C4's is done in
house at Tyseley.

Tyseley has had its own wheel lathe for decades (current one is about 5 years or so old) and does all work in-house including for class 730's.
