What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
When the route to Tweedbank reopened back in September, the above unit had a livery advertising the line.

On my 2 or 3 previous visits to Edinburgh Waverley, I've been intentionally keeping an eye out for it, but have yet to see the above unit, and that the 5 diagrams for the Tweedbank route seem to be all Class 158s.

Could somebody tell me if the "Borders Rail" livery is still applied, or has it been removed now? Do any 170s run along this route still, or was that just for the launch of the reinstated service? This is one of my last remaining 4 Scotrail 170s I require for haulage.

This unit is diagrammed to the 16:23 Qlasqow Queen Street to Falkirk Grahamston, 17:16 return to Queen Street and then 18:11 to Inverness and berth

Pretty sure I saw the borders rail one in Dundee a few days ago. I also took a 170 on the borders rail when I went on a Saturday back in October so it isn't all 158s.

I suppose liveries advertising a particular route are more useful on other routes: whilst a Settle-Carlisle branded unit might make a good photo opportunity crossing Ribblehead, it's very much preaching to the converted, whereas people in Barnsley or Sheffield may see it and decide that's how they'll spend their Saturday.

It had it a few weeks back in Inverness, operating the last train of the day to Aberdeen.

I saw a picture of it the other day I'm sure. I don't think 170s see much use on the Borders

Borders Rail. Why am I not suprised that every rail reopening surpasses all expectations of popularity and loadings etc, yet we still cannot justify the reopenings based on the expectations etc....

Sorry, dont want to burst any bubbles....

Short answers is yes, it still has Borders Rail livery.
