16th + 17th March 2013 - Enginering work near norwich

Hello, I was recently planning a trip from Lowestoft to Sheringham on the 16th March, but I noticed there are Rail Replacement Bus Services Operating between Norwich and Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth/ Sheringham/ Ipswich, So what is happening to cause this much disruption?

Due to a major track renewal project taking place in the Norwich station area, Norwich to/from Sheringham, and Norwich to/from Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft services will be operated by a rail replacement bus serivce throughout the weekend. Please see attached timetables for details;

A replacement bus service will also be operating on the Mainline between Ipswich and Norwich.

New long welded rail has been laid down in preperation for re-laying from Crown Point through to Whitlingham Junction. The same weekend there are also no trains between Norwich & Ipswich. EMT & the Cambridge services will be the only trains in/out & the station forecourt is to become a second bus station for Norwich.
