i want to get the friends and family rail card as it will be handy for me and my girlfriend and he too kids to use. however i have a son thats JUST turned 16 like 3 weeks ago. so becuase hes 16 i cant use it for him even tho if i bought it 3 weeks ago i could use it till he was 17? or can i chance it and say he turned 16 a few days after buying the card ?

@ellventures . Welcome to the forum. A 16 year old would be eligible for their own 16-17 Saver Railcard. Valid for a year and costs £35 but then gives 50% off most rail travel. More info here...

You can use it to get discounted adult fares for your son, but not for discounted child fares. However, as stated above a 16-17 Saver would get better fares for him.
