57768 on the rear of unit 158956 working 1F28, 16?? ex pompey-cardiff suffered a missile attack (presumably rocks/bricks) in the southampton area yesterday afternoon. Service delayed appox 20 mins whilst receiving attention at soton, rear to cab windows were both smashed - luckily by the way he was talking, the guard was not in there at the time and no-one else was injured. Unit terminated at Bristol and replaced by 158955 onward to cardiff.

Indeed... Unit was sent to SPM I presume as it certainly could be driven from the 57768! What ever hit it must have been fairly large because it shattered both panes.

T'was the 1608 PMH - CDF.

It leaves me wondering what the heck goes through people's heads when they do things like this. I hope they get caught and have their cars/houses bricked/whatever.

Missiles were thrown at a couple of trains on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway back of the 25th August. Two coaches got hit on one of the trains I was on and IIRC both coaches had to be taken out of service. Later in the week there was a report on the local news about what had happened and it later turned out that a woman suffered eye injuries as a result of a missle and a toddler almost got hit by a missle on a different train.

Neh, I no 153s are referred to as scuds aswell, but they aint fired from anyting! Only other thing this could have been was pellet gun or sumthing like that. Could have been worse if the guard was there or it was at the leading end with the driver! I don't think anything goes through these morons heads when they do something like that. Mindless, pointless and bloody dangerous.

There is nothing like firing a patriot missile at a scud missile, who think that would have happened in 2008!

Southampton East's area mate. Speaking to a few people at work, i've got a good idea of where it was and let's just say i certainly wouldn't go down there on foot!

My goodness, there's some violence on here!

They have laugh doing these sort of things without concern about people safety so maybe I wanna have some fun kicking the shizzle into them and why should I care what happens to them they don't seem to care.
