Is there a particular reason as to why the undamaged car of 158823 (the unit involved in the Welshpool incident a few weeks ago) is at Bristol Barton Hill sidings?

221127 was also there!

The set was sent there for assessment. The other car is presumably now inside or has been sent away.

Barton Hill is a LNWR site, who, along with Arriva, are part of the DB group. Voyager would be there because XC use Barton Hill as a stabling point overnight.

London and North Western Railway Co Ltd is a bit of an odd name for the company though - being as four of their five depots are not in either London or the North West. :)

It was originally the site at Crewe that was known as LNWR and owned by Pete Waterman. Arriva (DB) bought LNWR off him and in common with what they have done with other arms of their business, named all of their engineering sites LNWR.
