Does anyone please know the whereabouts of the above unit, as I haven't seen it yet this year, keep looking on RTT and not in service when I travel up there. MTIA

thanks - I always get the meanings of the letters and numbers confused!
A C4 overhaul is anything underneath the train. Bogies, cardan shafts (which connect wheels to gearbox to engine), reservoirs, valves.
A C5p is the paintwork, new livery or basic repaint into existing.
A C6 is the interior of the train, door systems overhaul, cab equipment (that's not covered as part of the C4 in some areas), seats, windows etc.

Those are bog standard exams on all fleets (except new build CAF/Stadler and so on).

C8, C10 are specifically Class 170 (and other variants, 165, 168 etc.) additional exams at different time periodicities.

156449 currently has a few extreme underframe corrosion issues so you won't see it until it goes to works at the end of this month (May).
