I passed Neville Hill earlier and London Midland's 153366 was sat on depot. Is this unit on loan?

Yes it is, LM were to send 153371 but this seems to have changed. There is a rumour that it may be a permenant allocation.

How comes LM are able to loan out so many units? x2 153's to NXEA and now this one to Northern. Ok, 3 may not be 'lots', but why when some TOCs suffer from stock shortages, do others have spares?
