Any plans for 153366 to go back to LM yet? I noticed Northern customer info posters have been put inside. Also between wakefield and Normanton at about 12.15 we were passed by a 47 in BR large Logo livery, anyone know who it belongs to or what it was doing?

Maybe repaint, but why refurbish it, its not like you're bringing it up to standard in line with the rest are you!

I have been chasing 153366 around for ages and today i finally got it. Much more comfortable than other northern trains.

A large logo 47 on the main line would be either 47580 (which is in a form of large logo livery but without the yellow cabs), owned by the Stratford 47 Group, or 47847 owned by Riviera Trains. Not sure what either of them might have been up to though.

Northern have done a refresh on some of their 153s - new flooring, seat covers and repainted panels. I actually find the result more pleasing than the LM refurbs. Not sure how many have been done, but not many IIRC!

I'll admit the rest of the fleet aren't great...

The LM 153s have had pretty much no work done on them beyond the seats and PIS. They still retain the horrible brown coloured walls and orange vestibules, they still feel like they are straight out of the 80s.

Still I hate the all northern refurbs. The only northern trains I like are the 333's which have not even been fully refurbished. Northern colours are just so bland. Anyway I like the orange vestibules. Although I noticed the PIS only works when the 153366 is leading and even then it displays "class 153" constantly. (Remember it can't work on it's own). If it does turn out the 153366 is staying at northern are they likely to make use of the PIS? The only other northern trains with PIS are 321's and 333's (and some 142's but they don't work properly when not in merseyside).

Thinking about it could it have been a 56?

Not if it was in large logo livery, there's no large logo 56s registered for use on the main line at the moment: The closest there is would be 56311 which is in unbranded Railfreight yellow/grey livery.

It will have been a 47 then.
