any ideas as to why FGW 150 234 is currently at tyseley depot. seen is earlier when passing on a chiltern service. it is parked up next to a LM 170 (i think)

Most likely reason will be for tyre turning. You can see a lot of unit's there for that reason. One Anglias 156s turned up a few years ago for that reason.
