150005 has finally been split, it was running as 2-car 150105 with 150018 on the 07.58 Dorridge - Kidderminster this morning.

I notice that with the 150/2 reforms being now done that 2 sets (210 & 220) should be a colourful mix of Centro green and Network WM blue!

They will be part of the Newton Heath 150 pool so they will go where ever the current fleet of 150s go. Liverpool included.

Thanks, looking forward to seeing them! It will be interesting to see what sort of condition they're in compared to northerns current allocation.

Presumably this is part of the preparation for 150110, 113, 210, 214 & 226 moving to Newton Heath this weekend, as reported on Northern Rail forum. The vehicles for 150210 coming from 150003 and 150005 respectively. If 150010 & 150013 have also been split, with 150226 being reformed, there should only be 4 hybrid 150/0s left, 012, 015, 018 & 019.

Got briefly confused this morning when an ex-central 150 departed Worcester Fgt St on a FGW service to Great Malvern. ;)

Is there much chance that the northern ones will be repainted? May make a intresting change if not.

They're quite brand aware though, I'd be surprised if it didn't happen (or at least a significant vinyling).

150216 out with 150018 this morning on 07.58 Dorridge - Kidderminster. So 216 definitely not in Bristol.....yet. Also, 150109+106 on 07.08 from Leamington. So not all 172s but won't be long I guess.

I was in Birmingham on Tuesday, that only class 150/0 hybrids i saw all day were: 150012 + 153375, 150013, 150018. (150015 + 150019) coupled together at Tyseley sidings). 150002 + 150125 was in service, and all rest were 172s or class 150/1s coupled together.

They're looking fairly rough, IMO, but then again, so is Northerns' 150 fleet in general :s So they should fit right in!

The interiors of the ex-LM units are very clean and tidy but still rather outdated.

Went on 150109 and 150116 this evening. I guess these will be sent off soon.

Do you think NH will give the ex-LM 150s a base paint like the 142s at FGW and will the LM 153 and Arrivas 150282 go back to there depots?

216 has been back in it's normal formation for a while now i.e. 52216 and 57216, some other websites seem not to be able to keep up with all that is happening at TYS at present.

The ATW 150 is due to leave later this month. Although, there are rumours it may go to NXEA and not go back to ATW.

The LM 153 is a bit of a strange one. It was originally supposed to stay in the Northern fleet until another 153 was transferred permanently for the Cumbria Coast but given the DfT recent announcements it looks unlikely Northern will get another 153 to replace it and more likely that one of the units from the 142 and 150 cascade will have to be used if the Cumbria Coast is to retain extra capacity.
