A wee bit confused here. Wikipedia says all but one of the locos that pulled this train have been preserved, the apparent exception being 44781 which supposedly was destroyed during filming of a film (which the wikipedia page for which says it was filmed in 1966 - two years before the train ran!) and also says that 44781 ran on the 2008 re-run. How could it have done this if it was supposedly destroyed in a film that was made two years before it ran on the special?!

So can anyone confirm wether 44781 was indeed destroyed or is she with us today? It's a wee but of a nightmare because I saw some videos in which the title is misspelled and is supposed to say "44871" who also ran on the special.
