I was just reading an old Trains Illustrated and it was reported that a Clan Class Pacific arrived in London but was too long to be turned on the Kentish Town turntable and had to be turned on the triangle around the shed.
Kentish Town had Britannia Class Pacifics allocated in the late 1950's, could they also not use the turntable as I believe both classes were 68'-9" long.
