Why did it run on supposedly on diesel power? Why not electric, UNLESS it's cheaper to run on the diesel as there would be no charge for plugging into the mains?

should not be to long, umm look back through the thread where the other one went to chart leacon and return should give you a time scale

1498 went up to Wimbledon on the 16th Apr and to Chart on the 17th Apr and returned on 9th May and back to Bomo on the 10th May.

So I predict either the week after next (half term) or the week after that.

It gives the diesel engine a good work out and keeps drivers fresh on the diesel side of the loco.
