Just wondering if anyone could tell me what the issue is, we encountered trespass incident earlier in journey and have been going on a go slow since symington and have lost 30 more minutes. We are going that slow we have been sided twice to allow other Pendos, including the following Glasgow service to pass and the trespass reason isn’t sticking anymore… I’ve been on plenty of 390s with tilt faults, but never been a delay of this much if it was that.

90 down at Garstang, having lost time in all sections from Carstairs, far more than if it was just tilt disabled.
Presumably a set change at Preston would be on the cards, or a change into following services.
1M17/18 running OK, 1M16 now south of Wigan running 26 late.

I’m not entirely sure of the full nature of the trespass incident however we were running fine up until that point. Could be related, I’m not sure.

Looks to be 92 minutes down at Preston. And looks also that the late running 1540 departure from Glasgow has now caught up with it.

JourneyCheck quoting tresspass incident and running 69 minutes late, clearly not the case now as you arrived at Preston at 18:28, and have been sitting for the last 10 minutes.

Have you had any other announcements?

Looks like you were also looped to let the 14:52 from Edinburgh past.

When a train is as late as that one is often the priority shifts from trying to stop that service from losing more time to trying to prevent it from delaying anything else, that said though I can't see any reason for the following Glasgow - Euston service to overtake unless there's something preventing your train and only your train from running at full speed.

I’m off now thankfully but it’s still sitting there, so presume it’s getting attention or will be canc.

*has just left in service

Ran at 80mph max for a period due to coupler defect; repaired at Preston.
