It can't have been back for too long, there's a photo of it on flickr, in two pieces, in Doncaster works on 27/11/10 and a photo of it in service on 11/04/11. Must have been back for 4-10 months.

That is assuming the dates on Flickr are correct, it definitely returned last year. It was repainted very recently.

My memory is fading, came back into traffic February according to my notes.

A comment below saying the engine "slipped" out. A new scenario of something that could go wrong on a Pacer!

The Broad Green incident wasn't the first occasion of a Pacer dropping an engine, it happened during BR days on the Cumbrian coast too. It isn't restricted to Pacers either which generally go about their business without fuss.
