11 coach EMU at East Croydon?

Speaking of SWTs 158s, Can anyone tell me why one 158 has literally been abandond in the turnback siding for pretty much all of last week...

Forgotton the number but it was there for at least 4 days in a row, just doing nowt all, from morning till evening and overnight...

Sorry, forgot to add the where part:roll:

Said 158 was in the turnback siding just outside Eastleigh, next to the portsmouth line...

It could be the one FGW have hired, although I don't know why it would be stabled there given that FGW don't serve Eastleigh.

Probably just out-based as a spare, or on a duty that is just peak hours or something.
Its like the 2x159 that work up to Waterloo in the morning, ECS to Basingstoke then 1 forms the 1624 to Portsmouth and the other the 1724, SWT have a lot of spare diesel stock at the moment so it might be just there to keep it out the way.

Well, until now that is, due to the Sotton tunnel work, FGW have diverted everything round via Eastleigh

Probably just out-based as a spare, or on a duty that is just peak hours or something.

The Portsmouth - Cardiff services continue to run via Southampton on weekdays, however, the Brighton - Worcester/Malvern services run via Eastleigh. On Saturdays and Sundays everything is diverted via Eastleigh.
