10.42 Ramsgate to Charing Cross

My usual train

I noticed today (as I was going in the other direction) that it was timetabled to leave at 10.36. I’ve seen this on occasions before. Checking next Tuesday the journey planner has it back at 10.42

There’s obviously a reason but does anyone know what that is?

Little more than idle curiosity - although it does impact on the time I have to drink my coffee!

This week, it's leaving earlier as at Ashford, it's joining up with the Dover-Folkestone-Sandling-Westenhanger service. It looks like there's something happening to split the Charing Cross-Dover services into 3.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only
• 0902 Charing Cross to Dover Priory will terminate at Tonbridge. A train service will run from Tonbridge to Ashford International. A train service will run from Ashford International, calling at Westenhanger, Sandling, Folkestone West, Folkestone Central and Dover Priory.
• 0922 Dover Priory to Charing Cross will start from Tonbridge at 1037.
A train service will run from Dover Priory at 0952, calling at Folkestone Central, Folkestone West, Sandling, Westenhanger and Ashford International. A train service will run from Ashford International to Tonbridge.
• 1004, 1104, 1204 and 1304 Charing Cross to Dover Priory will terminate at Tonbridge. A train service will run from Tonbridge to Ashford International. A train service will run from Ashford International, calling at Westenhanger, Sandling, Folkestone West, Folkestone Central and Dover Priory.
• 1028, 1128, 1228 and 1328 Dover Priory to Charing Cross will start from Tonbridge at 37 minutes past the hour. A train service will run from Dover Priory at 52 minutes past the hour, calling at Folkestone Central, Folkestone West, Sandling, Westenhanger and Ashford International.
• 1042, 1142, 1242 and 1342 Ramsgate to Charing Cross, will depart earlier at 36 minutes past the hour .
• 1502 Ashford International to Dover Priory additional train service will run, calling at Westenhanger, Sandling, Folkestone West, Folkestone Central
and Dover Priory
