10:06 Dalmuir to Springburn - 6 Carriages?!?

Hi!

Just wondering if this is going to be a regular occurance? Noticed this particular train whilst I was standing at Bellgrove Station. It hit Bellgrove at 10:06 BTW. A bit much for the number of people that use it, IMO. Just wondering. Cheers!

I would suggest initially that it worked into Dalmuir as a 6-car unit, which would be needed on a peak time service across Glasgow. I'd assume that at either Springburn or Dalmuir again one of the units will be detached and work a later service, or run back empty to Yoker and await further duty / maintenance.

Basically it's just that it worked as a 6-car before on a peak service and doesn't lose the extra unit(s) until after the service.

Was this just today? This morning the North Electrics line was closed between Airdrie and Caldercruix due to cable theft. I expect this would have caused a knock on effect to services on the Dalmuir - Springburn services with diagrams messed up.
