I don't have a status bar either...

Are you a Safari user then Mojo?
Yes I am. But I have enabled the status bar as I get fed up with dragging hyperlinks across the screen to find where they lead to.

Well, as number 9957 I have only just made it.:D:D

Though 684 posts since 17th April 2011 took some doing....and 24 hour spells huddled over the computer, replying to threads about Marmite on the General Disussion site, as well as rail, tram and bus matters.

The great thing about being retired is that you don't have to bother about getting in a good night's sleep so you will be fresh for work in the morning.

I am typing this at 03:19....must start trying to get a life again.

Good news on that score, it's not banned after all!

I spend too much time on the forum, and that's not going to change anytime soon!

I suppose it explains why the Conservatives aren't doing so well if you're permanently on here! :p

We did quite well in the council elections and had a good result in the AV refferendum. And if Miliband doesn't pay heed to his warnings and wake up sooner than later we're going to walk the next election!

Edited: I meant of course, pay heed.

Not to mention 'quiet well'.

I'm number 7227. I've been here since August 2010, and should probably have more posts than I do. The curse of a busy life

I’m number 5973, and I reckon that my post count spends a lot of the time hovering just below the top 10, most of which I rack up in my work lunch break and just before clocking off time. Not so much on evenings and weekends, as I’m usually out somewhere doing things. It’s all a bit backwards really from what could be considered “the norm” for posting on forums.

Given that I’m number 5973 and I joined about 14 months ago, and that the Forum has now broken through the 10,000 members mark during its’ five year existence, it looks as if the growth rate of the forum is exponential, which bodes well for a future of a healthy, busy forum!

I occasionaly get to work at 7:20am, so that's how! Luckily, I've got a week off on Monday so will be sleeping in!

By the way, what's the new avatar? :)

Fair enough! Enjoy your time off.

My new avatar is lambda, because I think it looks nice and I get bored easily - the easiest thing to change is my avatar

Thank you!

I tire of my avatars very quickly, this one will have gone in 50 posts time!

And in turn I will not recognise it's you until a few hours later (I also realise starting my post with and is poor grammar but I could not find a better word)

I'm 6491. On the subject of avatars, for ages I didn't have one, then in about February I changed it to the points one on the Forum's own list. About a month ago that was changed to the gates at the mighty Ibrox!

I've had the same one since just after I joined :D

I could never do that!

I have changed my avatar already....and I have only been a member for 6 weeks!

And you've got over 500 posts! Now that is impressive!

So that will be what? Half an hour?

I had a good laugh reading that, so thank you Mr.Ainsworth!

Then it'll hit you....oh my gosh, it is HST Power after all! :D

I think that my wife feels that I am spending "Far too much time" to use her words, in replying to and making posts on this forum. She is a most formidable member of the local W.I....with the hats to prove it:cry:

She has used her calculator to come up with a figure of 6431 posts a year...and threatens that she will "do something about it"...which means that I will be fighting more battles with the weeds in our gardens than entering into repartee on this forum.

Does anyone else on the forum suffer from similar "feminine" opposition?

MY WHOLE WORLD COLLAPSETH AROUND ME..MUCH WAILING AND GNASHETH OF TEETH HATH COME TO THIS PART OF CHESHIRE EAST!!

I do most of my posting at work and on the train so don't have that problem, but I still spend too much time of the forum and less time doing more constructive things!

I'm supposed to be reading and essay writing right now. Luckily there is nobody around to remind me of this fact, other than my slight sense of guilt!

Of course you could remind her that extrapolating 6 weeks of data over 52 weeks is mathematically flawed on the grounds that the reference period is too small (the same way last fm thought I listened to ~1300 tracks per day when I first started!)

At a speed of distance over time

Oh no.....

Despite my hatred of Maths I've certainly enjoyed reading the posting graphs created by OxtedL. It's interesting to see who's posting when and at what frequency.
