Hi All,

My friend had seen a working yesterday north of Kettering at approximately 16:30,he said was an orange 66(?) and a freightliner 66. We had found out that there was an 0Z71 Bletchley - Bardon Hill Quarry due to pass Kettering at 16:44.

Could anyone help with what the consist of this train was and what the supposed orange loco may have been?

Thanks Dan.

I think you've got something wrong, as yesterday's only 0Z71 is a working from Peterborough to Leicester then back to Ipswich.

The only light loco at that time of day would be 0F02 from Mountsorrel to Wellingborough; booked to pass Kettering at 17.11.

I think it might be 6F28, from Old Dalby to Wellingborough, which would have passed Kettering at 16.37.

Well, I'm not sure cos he did a check on TRUST today and all that was showing was the headcode 0Z71, like you say I might be wrong but just wanted to confirm if anyone had seen anything of this working. With it being a Z would it have been a one-off?

If it was VSTP (very short term planning) then OpenTrainTimes won't show it. Although looking through my e-mails, the only reference to 0Z71 is the above listed working which was a Freightliner 66

Orange 66 could possibly be Colas or GBRF
